What personal data we collect and why we collect it

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Comments:  Our Site Purpose

This is a site that is meant to encourage, inspire, and edify one another.  If there are comments that are offensive, and include “death” words in reference to blog posts, podcasts, etc., your comments may be deleted.  There is life and death in the power of the tongue, and I value that here at Valley of Grace.

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Disclosure

I may or may not receive compensation for affiliate links that are presented in some of my posts.  An affiliate link is a specific URL that contains the affiliate’s ID or username. In affiliate programs, advertisers use affiliate links to record the traffic that is sent to the advertiser’s website. This action is all part of an affiliate program.  These testimonials are only based on my personal use and opinion.  I would not at any time give false information regarding products without trying them first.  If compensation is received, it is used to offset the monthly expenses associated with having a blog, ie, advertising and other fees.
